About Linda Nielsen
God's world around me, it's people, my loved ones, my dear friends, other artists, teachers, music, poetry, stories, other cultures, nature, my "special need" animals I care for, these are just the tip of what inspires me to create works of art. I believe my art is a venue my Creator gave me to share expressions from my heart and soul. I hope these pictorial expressions will some how be able to touch the heart and soul of the observer as well. Thankyou for stopping by. "ART IS NOT ABOUT THE ARTIST. ART IS ABOUT WHY THE ARTIST PAINTS" --- Glen Wesman The expressions of our soul come from the visual language we speak on canvas. --- LN --------------------- I consider my self an eclectic artist and will paint on anything...

Linda,I always pick your females or animals! But not the men !! This of course is totally out of order! And has to be rectified! So I have chosen this wonderful Indian chief today, and how remarkeable is his expression.Weathered, wise, strong and intuitive. A great watercolour pencil painting with much fine detail. And I see that he sold without you knowing ! What a nice and very well deserved surprise! Many congrats ! v/f

Thanks so much dear Anne....the pencils I used were water soluable....after I sketched the picture I applied some water with a brush giving it a watercolor feel. Once again my thoughts and prayers are with you concerning the loss of your precious dog Happy.
