I seem to spend as long choosing which picture to look at more closely than actually commenting! I know I could pick any one and I would like it ! This beautiful cat brings back memories of one of my much loved cats also! In fact,it is uncanny looking as he is almost identical, and seems so utterly real. You have painted him beautifully using rich darks and silvery lights. And there is so much character in those green eyes!Made extra vibrant I feel,by the green grassy surround.Wonderful! v/f
Linda Nielsen replied:
So glad this stirs good memories of your beloved kitty Jane. Thanks so much for your wonderful comment....it is interesting to think you find him identical to yours.

I sent (or thought so) a comment for this painting. It's fabulous. What detail, and the expression in the eyes! He's just like our Peppi (named after the cartoon character cat) as ours had a white stripe running from his tail to his neck on his tummy. Miss him terribly, so thank you for the memories. :D
Linda Nielsen replied:
If this painting can stir up touching memories of your beloved cat then I have accomplished more than I expected with this piece...I understand the loss, I just lost one named Faith a few weeks ago.....we never lose what they place in our hearts. Thankyou dear Alanna for your wonderful comment and for sharing your story of Peppi.
